James Matuszak 3 was the wire-to-wire winner.
His 1,352 Total Points, despite losing 12 with his in season Player Replacement, were 29 Points better than 2nd Place finisher Patty Healey who overtook Elmer Keith 3 in the final weeks after Elmer held 2nd since mid-March. Patty had the best Points per Game with 1.116, but there was no award for this achievement this season (more later*). The Best Possible Performance was 1,376 Points with 492 Goals. Matuszak 3 also scored the Most Goals with 518, bettering Tom Renville 2 who had 511.
Ryan Bricker’s 3 Player Replacement of the out for the season Nikita Kucherov in place of the then sizzling Patrick Kane paid off as this entry finished in 2nd to Last Place ahead of Wayne Giza (me) who withdrew from competition for ‘The Good of the Game’. I am truly embarrassed that my best (?) effort lost to an entry that ‘quit’ midway thru the season!
*If there is a Next Season a prize for Points per Game will be added.
But that is a BIG if. I really like this concept but can not invest the
time needed if numbers remain so low. Tell me what you think on
the Contact Page.
$1,456 Total Prizes
*Most Goals Prize
will be awarded only if three or fewer entries qualify. One entry wins the $15.
If two or three entries tie they will split evenly ($7.50 or $5.00).
If four or more entries tie no prize will be awarded and the $15 will be split between 1st/2nd/3rd.
